Rowes Wharf

Rowes WharfRowes Wharf is located at the original site of the South Battery (built 1630) on land purchased in 1764 by John Rowe, a merchant whose goods famously fell victim to the Boston Tea Party. An iconic Boston landmark identified by Boston Harbor Hotel's multi-story arch, Rowes Wharf is a public plaza on the waterfront that serves as both entertainment and transportation hubs. Water transportation is served by MBTA ferry routes to points north, south, and east of the city as well as water taxi services to Logan Airport and the islands. Several dinner cruise operations also make their base at Rowes Wharf. The plaza features several entertainment venues, including a floating stage that seasonally hosts free concerts and movies.
